Francisco Lindor - Expected back TuesdayThe Mets are hopeful that Lindor (oblique) will be ready to return from the 10-day injured list for Tuesday's game against the Giants, Justin Toscano of The Bergen Record reports.
ImpactThe Mets entertained the idea of bringing Lindor back from the IL for Sunday's series finale with the Dodgers, but Rojas said at the recommendation of the team performance staff, the four-time All-Star was given some additional time to recover from the right oblique strain that has sidelined him since July 17. Assuming Lindor makes it through a pregame workout Tuesday no worse for the wear, he should draw back into the New York lineup for the series opener with San Francisco. When Lindor is activated, he'll slot in as the Mets' everyday shortstop, while Javier Baez shifts over to the keystone and Jeff McNeil moves over to third base.

Geoff Hartlieb - Moves to minorsThe Mets optioned Hartlieb to Triple-A Syracuse ahead of Sunday's game against the Dodgers, Justin Toscano of The Bergen Record reports.
ImpactHartlieb's demotion cleared a spot on the 26-man active roster for infielder Javier Baez (back), who was reinstated from the injured list. The 27-year-old right-hander was up with the Mets for just two days and didn't make an appearance out of the bullpen.

Joe Kelly - Likely to come off IL on TuesdayDodgers manager Dave Roberts said he expects Kelly (COVID-19 injured list) to be activated ahead of Tuesday's series opener in San Diego, Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times re...
ImpactRoberts said he felt Kelly looked "rusty" during his first rehab outing at Low-A Rancho Cucamonga on Friday, when he recorded one out and issued two walks. As a result, the Dodgers will have him make one more tune-up appearance Sunday for the affiliate before rejoining the big club ahead of the big three-game series with the Padres. Once reinstated, Kelly should be a key part of the late-inning bridge to closer Kenley Jansen.

Julio Urías - On track to start TuesdayDodgers manager Dave Roberts confirmed that Urias (calf) is "trending" to return from the 10-day injured list to start Tuesday's series opener in San Diego, Eric Stephen of TrueBlu...
ImpactUrias was placed on the 10-day injured list Aug. 14 with a left calf contusion, but the 25-year-old southpaw looks like he'll be ready to go after a minimum-length stay on the shelf. Assuming Urias is feeling fine physically coming out of his pre-start bullpen session, he likely won't face many limitations Tuesday, given the brevity of his stay on the IL.

Mookie Betts - Eyeing Thursday return from ILManager Dave Roberts said that Betts (hip) could be activated from the 10-day injured list as soon as Thursday if all goes well with the outfielder's rehab program, Mike DiGiovanna...
ImpactRoberts said Betts is scheduled to play in simulated games in Los Angeles and San Diego on Monday and Tuesday, respectively, and if his inflamed right hip responds well to the activity, the 28-year-old will re-enter the lineup for Thursday's series finale versus the Padres after taking Wednesday off to rest. Once Betts is reinstated from the IL, the Dodgers could run a three-man rotation of Chris Taylor, Cody Bellinger and AJ Pollock at the other two outside spots alongside the four-time Silver Slugger winner.
