Garrett Mitchell - Walks it off against MetsMitchell went 1-for-2 with a walkoff solo home run in Wednesday's 7-6 win over the Mets.
ImpactHe wasn't in the starting lineup, but Mitchell came on as a pinch hitter for Mike Brosseau in the sixth inning and remained in the game, giving him a chance to play hero in the ninth. Mitchell is enjoying a great start to the season, batting .300 (6-for-20) through six games with three homers, five RBI and six runs, but as yet the 24-year-old speedster hasn't stolen a base after going 8-for-8 on the basepaths last year in only 28 big-league games.

Joey Wiemer - Clubs first big-league homerWiemer went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's 7-6 win over the Mets.
ImpactGetting the start in center field and hitting ninth, Wiemer crushed his first career homer off David Peterson in the second inning, driving the ball the opposite way over the wall in right field. The 24-year-old outfielder has looked great since his promotion, batting .353 (6-for-17) through five games, and it may not be long before Wiemer works his way into a more fantasy-friendly spot in the order.

Devin Williams - Grabs win against MetsWilliams (1-0) worked a scoreless ninth inning Wednesday to get credit for the win in a 7-6 victory over the Mets.
ImpactSeeing his first action since April 1 as he was afforded some extra rest due to a bicep bruise, Williams shut down New York on only nine pitches (five strikes), putting him in the right place to get the win when Garrett Mitchell launched a walkoff homer. After recording a career-high 15 saves last season with Josh Hader shipped to the Padres, Williams and his Airbender changeup figure to shatter than mark in 2023.

Corbin Burnes - Escapes with no-decision WednesdayBurnes didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 7-6 win over the Mets, coughing up six runs on seven hits and two walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out three.
ImpactFive of the seven hits went for extra bases, including two homers by Pete Alonso, but Burnes was quickly taken off the hook for a loss after exiting when Milwaukee tied the game at 6-6 in the bottom of the fifth inning. The right-hander threw 57 of 93 pitches for strikes but managed only five swinging strikes, and the 2021 NL Cy Young Award winner has had a bumpy beginning to his 2023 campaign with a 9.64 ERA and 6:5 K:BB through two starts and 9.1 innings. Burnes will try to use a possible two-step next week to get on track, as the Brewers head out on a road trip that takes them through Arizona and San Diego.
