Francisco Lindor - Blasts 32nd dingerLindor went 2-for-4 Sunday with a home run, a walk, two RBI and two runs scored against the Brewers.
ImpactLindor reached base three times with his solo shot in the sixth representing the fifth and final run the Mets would score. Lindor has been hot during the closing stretch of the season with Sunday marking the 11th time in 26 games Lindor has contributed multiple hits. During that stretch, Lindor is batting 33-for-103 (.320) with eight home runs, nine doubles, 16 RBI, 22 runs and two stolen bases

Colin Rea - Shelled in losing effortRea (12-6) was saddled with the loss Sunday, allowing five runs on 10 hits, three walks and a hit batsman over 5.2 innings against the Brewers. He struck out five.
ImpactRea worked past four innings for the first time since Aug 24, allowing a season-high 14 batters to reach base in taking his sixth loss of the campaign. With the Brewers set to host the Wild Card round of the playoffs starting Tuesday and Rea likely on the outside looking in when it comes to their playoff rotation, Rea played the role of innings eater, tossing 106 pitches prior to calling it a day. The veteran righty finished the year with career-high marks in innings pitched (167.2), strikeouts (135) and wins (12).

David Peterson - Tosses gem to earn 10th winPeterson (10-3) earned the win Sunday, allowing one hit and three walks over seven scoreless innings against the Brewers. He struck out eight.
ImpactPeterson saved his best performance for when the Mets needed it most, allowing zero runs for just the second time this year while allowing a measly first-inning infield single to Jackson Chourio. The eight strikeouts matched his second highest total of the season while the scoreless effort dropped his season ERA to an impressive 2.90 over 21 starts spanning 121 innings. The Mets still have work to do to make it into the postseason, but should they advance following Monday's double-header with Atlanta, Peterson would be required to work on short rest if he were to make an appearance in the Wild Card round.
