Shintaro Fujinami - Takes loss despite quality startFujinami (0-3) took the loss Saturday, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks over six innings during a 3-2 loss to the Mets. He struck out five.
ImpactAside from a solo shot from Pete Alonso in the fourth, Fujinami was sharp through six innings. However, he surrendered a leadoff homer from Mark Canha in the seventh and was pulled after walking the next batter. The walk ended up coming around to score on a go-ahead, RBI double by Brandon Nimmo, so three runs were charged to Fujinami. Despite picking up a third straight loss, Fujinami took a major step in the right direction Saturday and will look to build of his success during his next start, which is tentatively scheduled during Oakland's upcoming three-game set in Texas.

David Robertson - Secures third saveRobertson picked up the save during Saturday's 3-2 win over Oakland, allowing one hit and zero walks while striking out one over a scoreless ninth inning.
ImpactRobertson came on with a one-run lead and allowed a leadoff single to Carlos Perez. After Esteury Ruiz executed a successful sacrifice bunt, the veteran closer got Tony Kemp to ground out and struck out Kevin Smith to end the game, stranding the game-tying run on third. Across seven appearances, Robertson has yet to allow a run while posting a 9:0 K:BB and a 0.47 WHIP. He now has three saves and one hold.

Carlos Carrasco - Five strong innings SaturdayCarrasco did not factor into the decision Saturday, allowing two runs on four hits and one walk over five innings during a 3-2 win over the Athletics. He struck out three.
ImpactAside from a bumpy second inning, Carrasco was able to keep the bases clear and got through five innings for the first time this season. The right-hander had allowed at least one home run and multiple walks in each of his first two starts, so Saturday's outing was certainly a step in the right direction. Carrasco's next start is tentatively scheduled for New York's upcoming four-game set in San Francisco.
