ImpactEntering the game to play left field as part of a double switch in the ninth inning, Pillar flied out in his first trip to the plate before depositing a Tyler Chatwood pitch over the left-center field fence in the 12th for the game-winning blast. The veteran outfielder hadn't gone yard since July 19, and on the season Pillar is slashing only .212/.246/.373 with 10 homers and 29 RBI through 252 plate appearances.
