Francisco Lindor - Cranks game-tying homerLindor went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's 6-2 win over the Blue Jays.
ImpactLindor delivered one of his biggest hits of the season Wednesday, breaking up Bowden Francis' no-hit bid with a solo home run to lead off the ninth, tying the game 1-1 and kickstarting the Mets' six-run frame. While Lindor has had a tremendous season overall, he'd been slumping a bit coming into Wednesday, going just 1-for-14 in his previous four contests. Overall, the 30-year-old shortstop is slashing .268/.340/.492 through 665 plate appearances this year with 31 homers, 85 RBI, 102 runs scored and 27 stolen bases.

Edwin Díaz - Earns one-pitch saveDiaz earned the save Wednesday against Toronto, retiring the only batter he faced in the ninth inning to seal a 6-2 victory.
ImpactAfter Ryne Stanek allowed a run on back-to-back two-out singles in the ninth, Diaz came in to face Nathan Lukes, who he'd retire on just one pitch to lock down his 18th save. It's the eighth straight scoreless appearance from Diaz -- he's allowed just two hits and a walk while striking out 14 over 7.1 innings in that span. The right-hander's ERA is down to 3.60 on the season with a 1.00 WHIP and 68:16 K:BB across 45 innings.

Sean Manaea - Another strong outingManaea didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against the Blue Jays, allowing one run on three hits and four walks over 6.2 innings. He struck out eight.
ImpactManaea's now gone at least 6.2 innings in six straight starts, posting a 3.07 ERA in that span (41 innings). The left-hander is 11-5 on the season with a 3.35 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 171 strikeouts (23 shy of a career high) across 164 innings. Manaea's currently lined up to face the Nationals at home next week in his next outing.

Bowden Francis - Loses no-hitter in the ninthFrancis allowed one run on one hit and walk over eight innings Wednesday in a no-decision against the Mets. He struck out one.
ImpactIt's the second time in Francis' last four starts that he's lost a no-hitter on a ninth-inning home run. The right-hander issued just one walk through eight innings before Francisco Lindor smacked a game-tying homer to lead off the ninth. Despite another tough finish, Francis has been spectacular of late, holding opponents to just one hit over seven or more innings in four of his last six outings -- he's posted a 1.25 ERA in that span (43 innings). Overall, the 28-year-old Francis is 8-4 on the season with a 3.50 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 82:20 K:BB over 92.2 innings. He's currently lined up for a road matchup with the Rangers next week in his next start.
