Rest and rehab recommended Chisholm will rest and rehab his left elbow UCL injury following consultations with multiple doctors, Jon Heyman and Greg Joyce of the New York Post report. Impact Chisholm was diagnosed with UCL damage in his elbow as a result of a slide into home plate earlier this week and was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday. However, surgery has been deemed unnecessary for now and the hope is Chisholm can return sometime in September. It's uncertain when Chisholm will be ready to resume baseball activities, so a timetable is unclear, but he has avoided the worst-case scenario with his injury. Oswaldo Cabrera will continue to fill in at third base for the Yankees while Chisholm is out.
