ImpactMullins posted a career-high 9.6 percent walk rate last season, but that was offset by a .233 batting average. The outfielder is two years removed from his 2021 breakout, and the emergence of Gunnar Henderson (oblique) will likely lead to Mullins batting in the bottom half of the order more often. If Mullins can't hit more consistently, he could also lose at-bats versus left-handed pitchers.

ImpactThe Orioles look set to run it back with Adley Rutschman and McCann as their big-league catchers. McCann got into 70 games last season, hitting .222 with six home runs, 26 RBI, 25 runs scored and three stolen bases over 226 plate appearances. Playing behind a young star like Rutschman means McCann is unlikely to see significant work aside from Rutschman's off days behind the dish and the occasional DH duty.

He made one Grapefruit League appearance with New York during spring training and gave up two runs on two hits and a walk over two-thirds of an inning. Gomez pitched well as a starter at Double-A Somerset last season with a 3.58 ERA across 65.1 innings.
