Jameson Taillon - Gets back on moundTaillon (ankle) completed a bullpen session Wednesday, Kristie Ackert of the New York Daily News reports.
ImpactAfter playing catch Monday without any discomfort in his right ankle, Taillon was cleared to take the next step forward in his recovery from the injury by getting back on a mound. The Yankees will presumably re-evaluate Taillon on Thursday before determining whether he's ready to rejoin the rotation this weekend versus Cleveland, or if he'll need to first ramp back up with a simulated game or minor-league rehab assignment. Once Taillon is ready to go, he'll likely bump Luis Gil from New York's rotation.

Domingo Germán - Another rehab outing on tapGerman (shoulder) is scheduled to make another rehab appearances Friday or Saturday before returning from the injured list, Max Goodman of SI.com reports.
ImpactGerman delivered two scoreless frames for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday, and he'll make one more appearance in the minors before rejoining the Yankees. Assuming all goes well, the right-hander should be activated from the injured list early next week.

ImpactThe right-hander took the mound in a game for the first time since July 31 and showed little rust, striking out the first four batters he faced. German followed by giving up a pair of singles, but he closed the appearance by inducing an inning-ending double play. Overall, he threw 16 of 25 pitches for strikes. Given manager Aaron Boone's comments prior to German's rehab outing, there is a strong possibility that the 29-year-old could return to the big club soon. "See how he responds; at that point, make a decision. But we expect him to be back with us sooner rather than later," Boone stated, per MLB.com. German is expected to work as a reliever upon rejoining the Yankees.
