Josh Taylor - Another rehab outing on tapTaylor (back) is scheduled to throw an inning with Double-A Portland on Tuesday, Chris Cotillo of Mass Live reports.
ImpactTaylor is set for yet another appearance in the minors while rehabbing from a strained lower back. The Red Sox have not yet announced whether this will be his final rehab outing before being activated from the 60-day IL.

Aroldis Chapman - Struggles in loss SundayChapman (0-3) took the loss against Boston on Sunday, allowing one run on one hit and two walks while striking out two over one inning.
ImpactChapman came on in the sixth inning with the game tied 6-6, and he allowed the first three batters he faced to reach base on a single and two walks. The veteran reliever bounced back to retire the next three hitters -- including two by strikeout -- but a Jeter Downs sacrifice fly allowed the go-ahead run to cross the plate, and New York was unable to score again in the contest. Chapman has allowed three runs and has walked five batters over three innings since returning from the IL on July 1. It seems unlikely that he'll regain the closer role until he gets back on track.

ImpactThough Sunday wasn't a great day from a team standpoint for the Yankees, Carpenter continued to impress with his third straight multi-hit performance. The veteran has gone 7-for-9 with two walks, two homers and four RBI over that stretch, and his season slash line now stands at an eye-popping .344/.447/.859 with 10 homers and 22 RBI over 77 plate appearances. He was rarely getting into the starting lineup near the end of June, but manager Aaron Boone has found a way to get his bat into the starting nine nearly every day in July, so Carpenter should be rostered in most fantasy leagues for as long as he remains hot.

Giancarlo Stanton - Belts 22nd homer SundayStanton went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in a loss to Boston on Sunday.
ImpactStanton put the Yankees on the board in the first inning with his two-run blast to right-center field. The long ball was his third in his past seven contests, though he is only 5-for-28 over that stretch. In fact, Stanton has been in all-or-nothing mode for over a month -- since June 7, 11 of his 17 hits have left the park, and he's batting just .167 over that span.
