ImpactLike most of his teammates, Torres was unable to get anything going with his bat in the matinee, but he bounced back with a two-hit performance in the nightcap. The second baseman accounted for the Yankees' first runs of that contest with his two-run blast to left field in the third inning. Ben Rortvedt - Rehab shifted to Triple-ARortvedt (knee) had his rehab assignment transferred to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday.

ImpactRortvedt has been out since May 8 after suffering a left knee injury while rehabbing and has yet to make his season debut for the Yankees following the team acquiring him from the Twins via trade in March. He appears to be nearing a return though, joining Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after he went 1-for-12 with three runs and three walks over four contests with High-A Hudson Valley.

ImpactCowart hasn't appeared in the minors since 2019 due to an unspecified injury, but he began a rehab assignment in mid-July and will now join the Yankees' Double-A affiliate.
