Aaron Judge - Reaches 30-homer markJudge went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Angels.
ImpactThe 29-year-old is absolutely locked in at the plate, recording multiple hits in eight of his last nine games. He's hitting .500 (18-for-36) with three long balls, 10 RBI and six runs scored in that span. Judge's eighth-inning solo shot Wednesday provided the Yankees with an insurance run. For the year, the star outfielder has a .299/.389/.545 slash line with 30 homers, 75 RBI, 71 runs scored and six stolen bases through 512 plate appearances.

Aroldis Chapman - Converts 25th saveChapman struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Angels.
ImpactChapman dispatched Shohei Ohtani, Phil Gosselin and Jared Walsh on just 11 pitches to make the Yankees' three-run lead stand. While the southpaw has given up two runs in his last 4.1 innings since returning from elbow inflammation, Chapman remains at the top of the bullpen hierarchy for the Yankees. He's converted 25 of 29 save chances with a 3.68 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 73:31 K:BB through 44 innings this season.

Gerrit Cole - Dominant in fourth straight winCole (14-6) earned the win Wednesday versus the Angels, striking out 15 in seven innings. He allowed one run on four hits and no walks.
ImpactThe right-hander has returned to dominant form since a stint on the COVID-19 injured list. In his last four starts, Cole has allowed just two runs across 24.2 innings while posting a 39:4 K:BB in that span. He hasn't exactly faced strong competition in that stretch -- he's drawn the Angels twice along with the Athletics and Twins once each -- but he's handled the opposition in front of him with little trouble. For the season, Cole owns a 2.73 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 215:32 K:BB through 155 innings. He lines up for a home start versus heavy-hitting Toronto next week.

Packy Naughton - Takes loss in first startNaughton (0-1) allowed three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out two in 3.2 innings, taking the loss Wednesday versus the Yankees.
ImpactMaking his first career start, Naughton was solid but a little generous to allow eight baserunners. The Angels didn't support the southpaw very well, only getting on the board in the sixth inning, as opposing starter Gerrit Cole was nearly untouchable in the contest. It's unclear if Naughton will get another look in the rotation -- if he does, it could be versus either Texas or San Diego early next week.

Gerrit Cole sends reminder why he's AL Cy Young favoriteWhen the Yankees signed Gerrit Cole, they likely envisioned him pitching in games exactly like Wednesday’s 4-1 win over the Angels.
