Impact Castellanos looks to be progressing well from the microfracture in his right wrist, as he's been taking part in baseball activities for nearly a week after the injury first landed him on the shelf July 23. A target date for his return isn't yet known, but since the Reds are only four games off the pace for the National League's second wild-card spot, the team could be inclined to activate Castellanos without sending him out on a rehab assignment beforehand. In the meantime, Cincinnati will rely on a combination of Aristides Aquino and Shogo Akiyama to replace Castellanos in the outfield.
