Impact The righty's bicep inflammation appears to have been minor, as he'll be throwing a bullpen roughly two weeks after landing on the injured list. Assuming Jordan Holloway (groin) returns to the Marlins first, Neidert will likely head straight to the bullpen once he's ready to be activated.

Impact Neidert was placed on the 10-day injured list Thursday with right biceps inflammation, but the fact that he's ready to start throwing again just under a week later suggests he won't be in store for a lengthy absence. The 24-year-old right-hander was deployed in a starting role in his last outing for Miami before heading to the IL, but Neidert will likely shift to the bullpen or head to the Triple-A Jacksonville rotation once he's reinstated.

Out with biceps inflammation Neidert landed on the 10-day injured list with right biceps inflammation Thursday.

Impact Neidert didn't look like he was pitching through an injury during his start Wednesday against the Phillies, allowing just one run in four innings of work. He'll now miss at least one turn in the rotation, and there's no guarantee he'll regain his spot once healthy, as he was only in the big leagues in the first place due to other injuries. Lewis Diaz was recalled in a corresponding move.

Impact Neidert showed some improvement in his first majors start since a demotion to Triple-A Jacksonville in April.
