Jesse Chavez - Starting Game 4Chavez will start Game 4 of the NLCS against the Dodgers on Wednesday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
ImpactHuascar Ynoa was poised to start Wednesday's bullpen game for Atlanta, but he was a late scratch with shoulder inflammation. Chavez will instead open things up in Game 4, and he has yet to allow an earned run across 3.1 innings this postseason. The 38-year-old is unlikely to pitch much more than an inning before giving way to the likes of Drew Smyly or A.J. Minter, who are more likely to cover multiple frames.
