ImpactIrvin worked himself into trouble on several different occasions, but he avoided he a catastrophic inning to escape with a quality start and a win. Across his last two starts, Irvin has allowed six earned runs across 11 innings. That alone isn't all that concerning, but in that same span he's allowed 15 hits, five walks and struck out only three. While he hasn't succeeded on the basis of a high strikeout rate this season, Irvin will likely need to miss a few more bats than he has of late to maintain his strong ratios. Through 141.1 innings, Irvin has maintained a 3.57 ERA and 1.21 WHIP with a 97:29 K:BB on the campaign.
