Jorge Juan - Re-signs with OaklandJuan signed a minor-league contract with the Athletics on Monday.
ImpactJuan was released by Oakland on Sunday after being designated for assignment, but he'll return to the organization on a minor-league deal. He missed the start of the regular season with an undisclosed injury but split time between Single-A Stockton and High-A Lansing last year.

Matt Davidson - Signs minor-league dealDavidson signed a minor-league contract with the Athletics on Monday.
ImpactDavidson was designated for assignment by the Diamondbacks in early May, but he'll land a minor-league role with the Athletics just over a week later. He hit .386 with eight homers, 12 RBI and eight runs over 11 minor-league games early in the season and will report to Triple-A Las Vegas.

Cristian Pache - Heads to benchPache is not in the lineup Monday against the Tigers, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
ImpactPache has earned plenty of chances up to this point, starting 25 of Oakland's first 28 games, but how much of a role he'll hold onto now that Ramon Laureano is back from his PED suspension is unclear. Pache certainly hasn't made a strong case for everyday at-bats, hitting just .169/.187/.270, though his 48.5 percent hard-hit rate sits in the 84th percentile and suggests potential for a fair amount of improvement considering that his 25.3 percent strikeout rate isn't too far from average. He'll sit Monday, with Laureano sliding to center field and Luis Barrera starting in right.

Jed Lowrie - Remains out of lineupLowrie (back) isn't starting Monday against the Tigers.
ImpactLowrie was scratched from Sunday's lineup due to lower-back tightness, although he was reportedly available off the bench. He'll likely be available in a depth capacity once again Monday, and he should be considered day-to-day for now.

Luis Barrera - Moved up to big-league rosterThe Athletics selected Barrera's contract from Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
ImpactBarrera was previously moved off the Athletics' 40-man roster in mid-April, but he earned his way back to the big leagues after submitting an .819 OPS to go with two stolen bases in 23 games with Las Vegas. He'll assume the 40-man roster spot and 26-man active roster spot of Billy McKinney, who was designated for assignment in a corresponding move. Barrera should provide a defensive upgrade over McKinney, but he may have to settle for a reserve role with Ramon Laureano, Cristian Pache and Chad Pinder likely ahead of him in the pecking order for playing time in the outfield.
