Aaron Sanchez - Still dealing with blister issueSanchez (biceps) is still dealing with a bister issue as he continues his rehab assignment with Triple-A Sacramento, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
ImpactSanchez has been on a rehab assignment with Sacramento since June 7 but has had to pause the stint twice because of blisters. He returned to the mound Friday, allowing one run in two innings of work, but it sounds like he was once again troubled by a blister. The right-hander appeared to be on track for an early July activation, but that could be pushed back if the blister problems continue to persist.

Tommy La Stella - Suffers thumb fractureLa Stella (hamstring) is dealing with a small thumb fracture and is expected to pause baseball activities for approximately two weeks, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
ImpactLa Stella has been out since early May with a hamstring strain. He began a rehab assignment Tuesday but paused it after just one game with what was originally called a jammed thumb. The infielder was previously expected to be activated from the 60-day injured list in early July, but the thumb fracture will now almost certainly keep him off the major-league roster through the All-Star break.

Brandon Belt - Seeking second opinionBelt will travel to Los Angeles and Stanford in search of a second opinion on his knee injury, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
ImpactBelt has been banged up by minor issues throughout the season and hit the injured list for the second time this year Friday with what's being called right knee inflammation for now. A clearer picture of the severity of the issue and his expected return date should emerge after he gets the additional opinion.

LaMonte Wade Jr. - Starting at first base SaturdayWade will start at first base and leadoff in Saturday's game against Oakland, Amy Gutierrez of the Giants' official site reports.
ImpactWade was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Friday with Brandon Belt (knee) landing on the injured list. He didn't start Friday against left-hander Sean Manaea but he'll get the nod Saturday against righty Frankie Montas. Wade could be in line to serve as the club's primary first baseman against right-handers until Belt returns, though he also figures to see time in the outfield.

Buster Posey - Remains on benchPosey (back) will sit for the second consecutive game Saturday against Oakland, Amy Gutierrez of the Giants' official site reports.
ImpactA vintage season from the 34-year-old Posey has helped catapult the surprising Giants to the best record in baseball. Losing their star backstop, who's hitting .322/.411/.556 on the year, would be a big blow, though manager Gabe Kapler didn't seem too concerned about the issue when Posey was scratched from the lineup Friday. Curt Casali will remain behind the plate in his absence.
