ImpactThe White Sox selected Avila in the Rule 5 Draft in December after he posted a 1.14 ERA in 55.1 minor-league relief innings last season. Avila didn't see any action in spring training, though, and will return to the Giants' minor-league system.

ImpactWade had a .275/.383/.375 slash line across 25 spring training games but didn't do enough to crack Oakland's Opening Day roster. The veteran infielder played in 67 games for the Angels last season and had a .544 OPS, so he's hardly guaranteed to see time in the majors in 2023.
