Zack Collins - Belts first homer as JayCollins went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Saturday's 7-5 loss to the A's.
ImpactGetting the start at designated hitter and batting sixth, Collins went back-to-back with Matt Chapman in the sixth inning to tie the game at 5-5, only for the Blue Jays bullpen to falter in the ninth. Collins' bat has come alive in this series, as he's gone 5-for-8 through two games against Oakland, with Saturday's homer being his first of the season. As long as he keeps hitting, manager Charlie Montoyo will likely keep finding a way to get Collins into the lineup at DH or behind the plate.

Matt Chapman - Slugs second homerChapman went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 7-5 loss to the A's.
ImpactHe took Domingo Acevedo deep in the sixth inning, kicking off a Toronto rally from a 5-2 deficit, but Oakland regained the lead in the ninth. Chapman has had a sluggish start to his stint with the Blue Jays, going 6-for-27 (.222) through nine games, but the third baseman does have two homers and six RBI.

Cristian Pache - Launches game-winning homerPache went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 7-5 win over the Blue Jays.
ImpactWith the score tied 5-5 in the top of the ninth inning, Pache drove a hanging slider from Julian Merryweather over the wall in right-center field for the deciding runs. The homer was the first of the season for Pache and just the second of the young outfielder's MLB career, but he's off to a solid start to his Oakland tenure, batting .267 (8-for-30) with five runs and four RBI through nine games.

Lou Trivino - Nabs second saveTrivino walked one and struck out three over a scoreless ninth inning Saturday to record his second save of the season in a 7-5 win over the Blue Jays.
ImpactThe right-hander has issued a free pass in three straight appearances and only threw 11 of his 22 pitches for strikes Saturday, but Trivino may be settling into his role as Oakland's closer. He racked up 22 saves in 26 chances last season, and Trivino's converted two straight after blowing his first opportunity of 2022.
