Strikes out seven in win Espino (5-5) earned the win Sunday over Colorado. He threw 5.2 shutout innings, allowing three hits and three walks while striking out seven.

Impact The right-hander came up one out short of a quality start, but it was still an excellent showing. Espino has allowed three runs or fewer in five of his last six appearances, although he has only a 2-1 record to show for it. For the year, he's posted a 3.94 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 90:24 K:BB in 102.2 innings across 33 appearances (17 starts). The 34-year-old projects for a tough road start in Cincinnati next week.
