Headed for majors The Nationals will promote Murphy from Triple-A Rochester ahead of Tuesday's game in Miami, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports. Impact Washington initially optioned Murphy to Rochester after claiming him off waivers from the Blue Jays on Aug. 14, but the organization saw enough from him in his three appearances at Triple-A to bump him up to the big-league roster. With Kyle Finnegan getting the job done as the Nationals' primary closer in the aftermath of Brad Hand being dealt ahead of the July 30 trade deadline, Murphy is unlikely to fill a fantasy-relevant role out of the Washington bullpen.
