Impact Fairbanks landed on the injured list in late July with shoulder inflammation but was able to resume throwing shortly after. He began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham last Sunday and wound up allowing a solo homer while striking out two across a pair of one-inning outings. The 27-year-old has converted five of six save chances this season, and he will likely get more opportunities to close games down the stretch.
