Joc Pederson - Drives home threePederson went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, a walk, three RBI and two runs in Friday's 10-5 win over the Cardinals.
ImpactThe 29-year-old enjoyed his third two-hit, two-run performance in his last four games. Home runs have escaped Pederson's game of late, as he hasn't hit one since June 18. Friday's game raised his batting average to a still-underwhelming .230, but he's raised that mark by 10 points in the last four contests alone.

Patrick Wisdom - Launches 12 homerWisdom went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and three runs in Friday's 10-5 win over the Cardinals.
ImpactA two-run lead in the seventh quickly expanded to seven as Wisdom hit a two-run shot immediately after Kris Bryant's three-run double. Coupled with a first-inning single, the 29-year-old enjoyed a very nice afternoon and has now gone 5-for-23 since the start of July with four RBI. Wisdom has struck out frequently, though, fanning eight times in that span. Friday's performance improved his season-long average to .279.

Kyle Hendricks - Earns 11th winHendricks (11-4) allowed two runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out one in 6.1 innings, earning the win in Friday's 10-5 win over the Cardinals.
ImpactIt was the righty's 10th quality start in his last 11 outings, and he now has 13 such starts in 18 games this season. Hendricks' 11 wins are tied with Julio Urias for the major-league lead. The Cubs' rotation as a whole has been miserable in recent weeks, but Hendricks has only gotten better after an up-and-down April and slightly more consistent May. He'll take a 3.77 ERA into the All-Star break and presumably start Chicago's second-half opener next Friday in Arizona.
