Ryan Pepiot - 'In the mix' to start TuesdayDodgers manager Dave Roberts indicated Sunday that Pepiot is "in the mix" to start one of the games during Tuesday's doubleheader against Arizona, Bill Plunkett of The Orange Count...
ImpactPepiot made his major-league debut in Pittsburgh on Wednesday and tossed three scoreless innings despite walking five batters. He was subsequently sent back down to Triple-A Oklahoma City, but the Dodgers may have shown their hand by assigning him to Single-A Rancho Cucamonga -- where the Quakes play their home games about 50 miles east of Los Angeles -- on Saturday. The Dodgers are in the midst of a stretch during which they play 31 games in 30 days and recently moved starter Clayton Kershaw (pelvis) to the injured list, so pitching depth is at a premium for the team at the moment.

Corey Knebel - Handed loss and blown saveKnebel (0-3) took the loss and blown save during Sunday's 5-4 defeat at the hands of the Dodgers, allowing two runs on two hits and one walk in two-thirds of an inning.
ImpactKnebel entered in the ninth inning to protect a one-run lead and retired the first two Dodgers before surrendering a triple, walk and double that plated both runners, resulting in a walk-off victory for Los Angeles. The 30-year-old had converted three-straight save opportunities while permitting only one baserunner but has now blown two saves in his last five chances. The outing increased Knebel's ERA and WHIP to 3.60 and 1.27, respectively, through 15 innings.

Aaron Nola - Denied second winNola registered a no-decision during Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Dodgers, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks with eight strikeouts in seven innings.
ImpactNola was staked to an early four-run lead, permitting a run apiece in the third and fourth innings, and departed with a two-run lead. Unfortunately, the bullpen blew the game and Philadelphia has now lost all seven of Nola's starts since Opening Day despite the 28-year-old owning a solid 3.64 ERA. He'll go for his second win with a rematch against Los Angeles on tap for next weekend.

Michael Grove - Goes 3.2 strong innings in debutGrove didn't factor into the decision during Sunday's 5-4 win over Philadelphia, allowing four unearned runs on four hits and three walks with three strikeouts in 3.2 innings.
ImpactMaking his big-league debut, Grove pitched well aside from the second inning, when a Gavin Lux error extended the inning and led to four unearned runs crossing the plate. The 25-year-old tossed 43 of 70 pitches for strikes and induced eight swinging strikes, though nearly one walk per inning is a bit concerning. It's unclear if Grove did enough to stick with the team for another start.

Francisco Morales - Sent down SundayMorales was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Sunday.
ImpactMorales made two relief appearances during his time with the major-league club, and he picked up his first career save in Friday's win over the Dodgers. Although he tossed three scoreless frames over his two outings, the 22-year-old will head back to the minors, where he's posted a 0.55 ERA and 0.75 WHIP in 16.1 innings over nine appearances this year.
