Trea Turner - Homers, swipes bagTurner went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a stolen base in Wednesday's loss to the Twins.
ImpactTurner got to work early in this one, swiping his 13th base of the season in the top of the first inning before taking David Festa deep in the fifth to tie the game. The hamstring injury that cost Turner six weeks earlier this season appears to have sapped his stolen base production -- the 31-year-old has just three steals since returning on June 17. Even so, the shortstop has been on a tear in the month of July, batting .356 with 10 home runs, 22 RBI, 18 runs scored and three stolen bases in 18 games played.

Jhoan Duran - Picks up win No. 6Duran (6-5) picked up the win Wednesday against the Phillies, pitching a perfect ninth inning with one strikeout.
ImpactDuran came on in the top of the ninth inning with the score tied and made quick work of the Phillies, retiring the side in order. In the bottom half of the frame, Max Kepler ended the game with a walk-off single to give Duran his sixth win of the season. The 26-year-old quickly bounced back from last night's appearance where he allowed three earned runs and took the loss. The right-hander owns a 3.51 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and a 32:12 K:BB while converting 15 of 16 save chances.

Aaron Nola - Six innings of one-run ballNola did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's loss to the Twins, allowing one earned run on six hits and three walks while striking out six over six innings.
ImpactNola came out of the All-Star break slow, allowing four earned runs in five innings against the Pirates his last time out. The 31-year-old was much sharper Wednesday, fanning six batters and limiting the Twins to just one run, a solo home run by Matt Wallner in the second inning. The right-hander notched his 15th quality start of the season Wednesday, tied for third in the major leagues. Nola now owns a 3.44 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and a 126:31 K:BB across 130.2 innings. He is tentatively scheduled for a home start against the Yankees early next week.

David Festa - Fans seven in reliefFesta racked up seven strikeouts in 4.1 innings of relief in Wednesday's win against the Phillies, allowing one earned run on four hits and two walks. He did not factor into the de...
ImpactFesta was called up Wednesday morning to bolster the Twins rotation with Chris Paddack (forearm) currently on the IL, working as a bulk reliever behind opener Steven Okert. The 24-year-old rookie struggled mightily in his first major league stint, surrendering 12 earned runs with just eight strikeouts in 10 innings of work. Wednesday's outing was a completely different story, however, as the right-hander allowed just one earned run and racked up a career-best seven strikeouts against a formidable Phillies lineup. The right-hander now owns an 8.16 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and a 15:3 K:BB across 14.1 major-league innings. It remains to be seen when he will pitch next, but Festa made a strong case for consistent playing time with Wednesday's performance.
