He owns a career .229/.280/.387 slash line and has only received 143 MLB plate appearances across the last two seasons. The 27-year-old is due to make $6 million this season but isn't on the 40-man roster and doesn't appear to be part of the team's plans. He's still recovering from shoulder surgery, a procedure he underwent back in July, so he didn't get the chance to make an underdog bid for a roster spot as he's not yet ready for game action.
