Yu Darvish - Strikes out nine in quality startDarvish allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk with nine strikeouts in six innings versus the Phillies on Sunday. He did not factor in the decision.
ImpactDarvish allowed multiple runs for the first time in four starts, with the Phillies picking up two in the second inning and one more in the fifth. Despite the downturn from his recent dominance, this was still a fourth straight quality start for the right-hander. He owns a 3.26 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 75:18 K:BB across 88.1 innings in 14 starts overall. Darvish is projected for a tough road start versus the Dodgers next weekend.

Bryson Stott - Records steal, scores twiceStott went 1-for-3 with an RBI, a stolen base, two runs scored and a walk in Sunday's 8-5 win over the Padres.
ImpactStott tied the game at 1-1 with an RBI single in the second inning. He stole second and scored on a Kyle Schwarber double. Stott hadn't gotten on base multiple times in a game since June 12, going 2-for-34 with a walk and seven strikeouts in his last 11 games before Sunday. The infielder is slashing .164/.223/.274 with four home runs, 20 RBI, 19 runs scored and two steals across 157 plate appearances. Given his poor hitting, Stott should be concerned about losing playing time to Yairo Munoz and Johan Camargo at second base, particularly against southpaws.

Odúbel Herrera - Nabs steal SundayHerrera went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 8-5 win over the Padres.
ImpactHerrera singled, stole second and scored in the second inning to get the Phillies on the board. Prior to Sunday, Herrera had gone 1-for-25 (.040) across his previous seven contests, a skid that started to cost him playing time. The veteran outfielder is slashing .236/.274/.412 with five home runs, 17 RBI, 18 runs scored and four steals through 48 contests. Despite his struggles, Herrera could see his playing time stabilize with Bryce Harper (thumb) on the injured list for likely a few weeks. Matt Vierling figures to push for a starting role as well and could poach some at-bats from Herrera versus left-handed pitchers.

Kyle Schwarber - Drives in four in winSchwarber went 2-for-5 with a home run, a double and four RBI in Sunday's 8-5 win over the Padres.
ImpactSchwarber accounted for half of the Phillies' run production with an RBI double in the second inning and a go-ahead, three-run blast in the seventh. The long ball was his 10th in June and his 21st of the season, while his four RBI were a season high. The outfielder is slashing .219/.340/.502 with 46 RBI, 51 runs scored, four steals and 12 doubles through 72 contests. With Bryce Harper (thumb) out for the foreseeable future, Schwarber and Nick Castellanos are likely to serve as the designated hitter more often, though both are likely to maintain near-everyday roles in the lineup.
