Tyler Heineman - Records stealHeineman went 0-for-3 with a hit by pitch, a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 10-4 loss to Atlanta.
ImpactHeineman is not known for speed -- he had just one career stolen base and no triples entering Saturday. He was plunked in the fifth inning and promptly stole second before scoring on a Bryan Reynolds double. With Roberto Perez (hamstring) out for the year, the playing time's been there for Heineman recently, but he's failed to seize the opportunity by going 2-for-19 (.105) in six games in June. Overall, the catcher is hitting .182/.250/.236 with no home runs, two RBI and eight runs scored in 24 contests between the Pirates and the Blue Jays.

Daniel Vogelbach - Smacks long ballVogelbach went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 10-4 loss to Atlanta.
ImpactVogelbach gave the Pirates a brief 2-0 lead with his first-inning blast, which Atlanta answered in its half of the frame. The designated hitter has hit safely in each of his last two games after breaking an 0-for-11 skid, but he hasn't recorded hits in three straight contests since late April. The 29-year-old slugger is at a .230/.312/.432 slash line with seven homers, 15 RBI, 16 runs scored, five doubles and a triple through 41 contests.

Bryan Reynolds - Third straight multi-hit gameReynolds went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, two RBI and two total runs scored in Saturday's 10-4 loss to Atlanta.
ImpactReynolds opened the scoring with a solo shot in the first inning and added an RBI double in the fifth. He's been red-hot against Atlanta pitching, going 8-for-12 through the first three games of this weekend series. Saturday was the first time since June 1 he's hit an extra-base hit. The outfielder is up to a .243/.322/.422 slash line with nine homers, 16 RBI, 23 runs scored and three stolen bases through 230 plate appearances. His recent surge has seen him turn around his season in the last week-plus.

Zach Thompson - Goes five innings in no-decisionThompson allowed two runs on three hits and a walk while striking out four over five innings in a no-decision versus Atlanta on Saturday.
ImpactThompson was able to limit the damage on his line to a pair of solo shots from Ronald Acuna and Austin Riley in the first inning. He left in line for the win, but Atlanta rallied for eight runs in the seventh inning to deny the right-hander a chance to even his record. Thompson has a 4.50 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 39:18 K:BB while going 3-4 across 12 outings (11 starts) covering 50 innings. He's projected for a home start versus the Giants next week.

Michael Harris II - Adds another stealHarris went 1-for-4 with an RBI, a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 10-4 win over the Pirates.
ImpactHarris has stolen a base in each of the last two contests, which suggests he's getting a bit more comfortable at the big-league level. He's now 6-for-14 (.429) across his last four games, adding three RBI and five runs scored. The 21-year-old outfielder has six RBI, nine runs scored, five doubles and a triple through 53 plate appearances. Considering he had only 14 home runs in 197 minor-league games, he should be expected to produce more with speed than with power, though the latter tool shouldn't be completely discounted as his game grows.

Austin Riley - Goes deep in winRiley went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 10-4 win over the Pirates.
ImpactRiley tied the game at 2-2 with his first-inning solo shot. He also hit a single and scored on an Ozzie Albies grand slam in the seventh. Through 10 games in June, Riley has gone 13-for-43 (.302), hitting safely in seven of those contests with four homers, 10 RBI and 10 runs scored. The third baseman continues to provide power with 16 homers and an .864 OPS while adding 35 RBI, 34 runs scored and a pair of stolen bases through 59 games this year. Half of his long balls this year have come since May 25.
