Daniel Norris - Dealing with sore AchillesNorris was removed from Tuesday's game against the Pirates with right Achilles soreness, Tim Stebbins of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
ImpactNorris retired the only batter he faced on four pitches before exiting Tuesday's contest with the injury. The left-hander should be considered day-to-day, and it's unclear whether or not he'll require a trip to the injured list.

Miguel Yajure - Lands on injured listYajure (hip/back) was placed on the 7-day injured list with Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday, Rob Biertempfel of The Athletic reports.
ImpactYajure exited his previous start Saturday with hip and lower-back discomfort. The injury is apparently serious enough to cost him at least a week, but it's not yet clear how much time he'll miss beyond that.

Rafael Ortega - Should get large-side platoon roleOrtega will start in center field and bat leadoff in Tuesday's game against the Pirates.
ImpactThough Ortega had already started in five of the Cubs' previous six games, he was a candidate to see a role reduction this week with Seiya Suzuki having moved past a recent ankle injury. However, with Jason Heyward moving to the COVID-19-related injured list Tuesday, Ortega now looks like he'll have the opportunity to play regularly in center field, at least against right-handed pitching. The lefty-hitting Ortega could end up filling the large side of a platoon in center with the righty-hitting Christopher Morel, who was called up from Double-A Tennessee on Tuesday.

Mitch Keller - Loses rotation spotKeller is merely considered an option out of the bullpen for Wednesday's game against the Cubs, the game which would have been his next turn in the rotation, Jason Mackey of the Pi...
ImpactKeller generated buzz over the winter due to reports of increased velocity. Those reports were accurate, as his fastball has averaged 96.2 mph this season after coming in at 93.9 mph last year, but the increased heat has had no effect on his results. He's struggled to a 6.61 ERA and 1.53 WHIP through seven starts while striking out a career-low 17.6 percent of opposing batters. The Pirates haven't listed a starter for Wednesday's game, but it could be Roansy Contreras, who would be on turn for the outing after pitching Friday for Triple-A Indianapolis.
