Chase De Jong - Sidelined with knee tendinitisThe Pirates placed De Jong on the 15-day injured list Sunday with left knee tendinitis, Mike Persak of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
ImpactDe Jong is experience discomfort in the same knee that he had surgically repaired last July, so he could be at risk of spending more than the minimum amount of time on the IL. The Pirates called up their starting pitcher for Sunday's game against the Rockies, Bryse Wilson, from Triple-A Indianapolis to take over the active roster spot of De Jong, who has submitted a 2.06 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 28:12 K:BB across 35 innings out of the Pittsburgh bullpen this season.

Cal Mitchell - On bench against leftyMitchell is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.
ImpactThe lefty-hitting Mitchell will take a seat for the series finale, giving way in right field to the righty-hitting Diego Castillo while southpaw Austin Gomber takes the mound for Colorado. Considering he started in both of the Bucs' previous two games against right-handed pitching while going 1-for-5 with a run scored, Mitchell looks as though he'll retain a large-side platoon role in the outfield coming out of the All-Star break.

Diego Castillo - Looks like reserve playerCastillo will start in right field and bat fifth in Sunday's game against the Rockies.
ImpactThough he's back in the lineup for the series finale while lefty Austin Gomber takes the bump for Colorado, the righty-hitting Castillo was on the bench in both of the previous two games, when the Rockies brought right-handers to the hill. As such, Castillo looks to be stuck in the short side of a platoon at the moment.

Jason Delay - Playing time on upswingDelay will start at catcher and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Rockies.
ImpactDelay will be making his second start since Tyler Heineman (personal) was reinstated Friday, from the family medical emergency list, with one of his starts coming against a right-hander (German Marquez) and the other coming versus a lefty (Austin Gomber). Since Delay hitting .320 with three doubles, three RBI and two runs scored in 10 games following his call-up from Triple-A Indianapolis earlier this month, the Pirates could be inclined to give him a look as their primary backstop while he's swinging a hot bat.

Tyler Heineman - Heads to bench SundayHeineman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.
ImpactAfter going 2-for-3 in Saturday's 2-0 loss in what was his first start since July 2, Heineman will retreat to the bench for the series finale. Though he's available again after a stint on the family medical emergency list, Heineman looks like he could be the Pirates' No. 2 option at catcher behind Jason Delay, who gets the starting nod Sunday.

Yoshi Tsutsugo - Idle against leftyTsutsugo is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.
ImpactWith Colorado bringing southpaw Austin Gomber to the hill on Sunday, the lefty-hitting Tsutsugo will hit the bench for the second time in the series. Michael Chavis checks in for Tsutsugo at first base.

Brian Serven - Alternating starts with DiazServen is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
ImpactServen appeared to solidify himself as the Rockies' top backstop in mid-June, but he and Elias Diaz have since fallen into a near-even timeshare behind the dish. The two have alternated starts at catcher for 12 consecutive contests, with Serven going 1-for-19 with a double, two walks, two runs and now RBI in his six starts during that stretch.
