Josh Rogers - Lands on IL with shoulder strainThe Rockies placed Rogers on the 15-day injured list Monday with a left shoulder rotator cuff strain, retroactive to June 14.
ImpactRogers was called up from Triple-A Albuquerque on May 27. Over his five major-league appearances this season, the 29-year-old southpaw registered a 6.75 ERA and 1.50 WHIP over 9.1 innings. With Rogers on the shelf, the Rockies reinstated right-handers Jake Bird (elbow) and Justin Lawrence (shoulder) from the 15-day IL, while Angel Chivilli was optioned to Double-A Hartford.

He didn't look particularly good in his lone rehab appearance with Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday, allowing two runs on three hits one walk while registering one out and taking the loss, but the 29-year-old right-hander will return to Colorado's bullpen ahead of Monday's game against the Dodgers. Prior to his injury, Lawrence registered a 5.91 ERA and 1.83 WHIP over 21.1 innings.

ImpactBird landed on the injured list May 19 due to right elbow inflammation. Over his last two rehab appearances with Triple-A Albuquerque, Bird allowed no runs on no hits and one walk while striking out three over two innings. The 28-year-old right-hander will rejoin the Rockies' bullpen and will be available for the start of their four-game series Monday against the Dodgers.
