Fernando Tatis Jr. - Could hit next weekTatis' wrist will be scanned again when the Padres return home next Monday, at which point he could be cleared to hit, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

ImpactTatis hasn't made particularly quick progress in his return from a fractured wrist, though he's at least been able to run and field grounders. His previous scan last Tuesday indicated that he needed more healing before being cleared to swing, but the Padres are optimistic that two extra weeks will be enough time for that to happen.

Luis García - Picks up win SundayGarcia (4-2) earned the win over Pittsburgh on Sunday with a scoreless inning that included one strikeout.

ImpactGarcia was tasked with handling the top of the 10th inning for San Diego, and he kept the Pirates off the scoreboard with the help of an errant pitch that fortuitously resulted in Hoy Park being tagged out at home plate. The right-hander was credited with the win when Trent Grisham blasted a walkoff homer in the bottom of the frame. Garcia has been effective out of the bullpen for the Padres this season, posting a 2.95 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 18:6 K:BB across 18.1 innings. In addition to his four wins, he has notched nine holds.

Trent Grisham - Belts walkoff homerGrisham went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in a 4-2 victory versus the Pirates on Sunday.

ImpactThe teams played to a stalemate through nine innings, and Pittsburgh was unable to score in the top of the 10th. Grisham walked up to the plate to lead off the Padres' half of the frame and sent everyone home with a game-winning blast to right field. This was one of few offensive highlights for Grisham this season, as he's struggled so far with a .164/.269/.274 slash line and a career-worst 26.2 percent strikeout rate through 172 plate appearances. The home run was his first since April 16.
