Walk-off homer Arozarena went 2-for-4 with a solo home run Wednesday against the Twins.

Impact Arozarena took Johan Duran deep in the ninth inning to deliver a walk-off victory. It was his 12th homer of the season, but his first since May 22. In the 12 games between long balls, he hit only .195 with three runs scored and five RBI. Even with that slow stretch, he has an impressive .394 on-base percentage for the season -- his highest mark in any significant sample in the majors.

Impact Arozarena went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts Sunday versus the Red Sox and is just 4-for-29 at the plate over his last eight games, so it's probably not a bad time to give him a breather. Luke Raley will handle left field.

Swipes seventh base Arozarena went 2-for-9 with a stolen base and a walk across both games of Saturday's doubleheader against the Red Sox.

Impact Arozarena collected a hit in each game, though there was little notable about the performance besides him collecting his seventh stolen base of the season. After a hot start to the season, he has slowed down across his last 18 starts by hitting just .207 with one home run, six RBI and eight runs scored. The positive to take from Arozarena's performance in that span is that he's swiped four bags without getting caught.

Impact With the series finale with the Dodgers beginning at 11:35 a.m. ET, Arozarena will be getting a breather after he had started in every game for Tampa Bay since May 11. Luke Raley will get the starting nod in left field in place of Arozarena, who went hitless across six at-bats in the first two games of the series.

Arozarena had cooled off a bit coming into the contest, going 6-for-31 in his previous 10 games. The 28-year-old outfielder is still slashing an outstanding .311/.415/.959 with 11 homers, 39 RBI and six steals through 217 plate appearances this season.

Impact Arozarena led off the second inning with a double and came around to score the Rays' first run of the game. Four frames later, he popped his 11th home run of the season and fourth across 19 games in May. Despite going hitless in eight of his last 13 starts, Arozarena still has a .308 average across 205 plate appearances for the campaign.

Impact He got the Rays on the board in the first inning by crushing a Gerrit Cole offering into the second deck in left field at Yankee Stadium. Arozarena has surprisingly been a disappointment on the basepaths so far, stealing three bags on seven attempts and going 20 games and counting without a successful pilfer, but there's little else to complain about with his 2023 performance. The 28-year-old is slashing .317/.400/.577 with 10 homers, 26 runs and 31 RBI through 38 contests.
