Low-leverage usage so far Gsellman gave up a run on two hits in the sixth inning during the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Cardinals.

Impact Entering the game with the Mets ahead 6-1, the right-hander gave up a leadoff double to Harrison Bader, who eventually came around to score. Gsellman got a late start to the season due to the team's erratic early schedule, not making his first appearance until April 17, but over 8.2 innings since he's posted a 3.12 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 5:2 K:BB. His low-leverage role gives him little fantasy value however, as so far Gsellman doesn't have a save, hold or decision.

Impact Gsellman's 2020 campaign came to an end in early September when he suffered a fractured rib, but he received a clean bill of health heading into spring training. Per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com, Gsellman is included on the Mets' travel roster ahead of Monday's game against the Nationals, so he could get the chance to make his second relief appearance of the spring.

Impact Gsellman will get just a small raise over the $1.23 million he made last season. It's hard to argue he deserved a bigger one, as he allowed 15 runs in 14 innings last year while posting a 9:8 K:BB before being shut down with a fractured rib.
