Claimed by White Sox The White Sox claimed Marinaccio off waivers from the Yankees on Monday.
Impact The White Sox had the highest waiver priority of any team and used it to scoop up Marinaccio, who had been designated for assignment by the Yankees last Friday. Marinaccio has spent a large chunk of 2024 in the minors, but he's posted a career 3.22 ERA and 137:61 K:BB over 114.2 innings covering parts of three seasons in the majors. He's been optioned to Double-A Binghamton for the time being.
