Outrighted to Buffalo Borucki cleared waivers Thursday and was sent outright to Triple-A Buffalo.
Impact Borucki was DFA'd after pitching 4.1 shutout innings for the Jays in September, but he'll officially stick with the organization after passing through waivers unclaimed. Assuming he remains in the minors for the rest of the season, the 31-year-old southpaw will finish 2025 with a 4.63 ERA and 1.29 WHIP through 35 innings in the big leagues.

Impact Borucki has stumbled to a 5.28 ERA in 30.2 innings with the Pirates this season. The 31-year-old hasn't been able to replicate the success he saw in 2023 during his first year in Pittsburgh, when he notched a 2.45 ERA across 40.1 innings. Borucki will hit waivers, but if he goes unclaimed, he could remain in the Pirates' organization.
