Impact Miller was hit in the left leg by a comebacker in Friday's game, but it appears he's no worse for wear after just a one-day absence. The 28-year-old has allowed one run and posted a 4:1 K:BB over his first 2.1 innings in the majors since his call-up Tuesday. He's likely to see mostly low-leverage work as long as he stays with the big club.

Hit in leg, exits game Miller was removed from Friday's game versus the Mariners after getting hit in the leg by a comebacker, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Impact Miller was hit in the leg by a 109-mph line drive off the bat of Randy Arozarena in the eighth inning. He was immediately removed from the game, and while it's unclear if he'll need to spend time on the injured list, there's a good chance the Angels give the 28-year-old a day or two to recover before using him out of the bullpen again.

Called up to majors The Angels selected Miller's contract from Triple-A Salt Lake on Tuesday.

Impact It's the first-ever promotion to the big leagues for the 28-year-old Miller. He earned the opportunity by posting a 2.45 ERA and 61:14 K:BB over 62.1 relief innings this season with Salt Lake.
