Homers off bench O'Hearn went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run in Thursday's 7-2 loss to Tampa Bay. Impact With Kansas City trailing 7-0 after four innings, manager Mike Matheny turned to his bench. O'Hearn replaced Carlos Santana at first base, and the former ended up providing the team's only offense Thursday. The 27-year-old has three homers, six RBI and six runs scored in 57 plate appearances this year. O'Hearn isn't likely to displace Santana or Jorge Soler from the lineup, so he'll remain in a bench role.
