Impact After signing with the Mariners on a one-year, $4 million contract in March, Stanek will be shipped out east to join the Mets' bullpen four months later. Stanek has struggled in his eight outings in July, allowing five runs on five hits and six walks and striking out eight over 5.2 innings while registering two blown saves and a loss. Across his 46 outings for the season, Stanek has a 4.38 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, 15 holds and seven saves across 39 innings. The 33-year-old right-hander will provide depth at closer behind Edwin Diaz in New York.
