Fernando Tatis Jr. - Pops two-run homer Tatis went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Friday's win over the Phillies.

Impact Tatis had gone through a bit of a power outage, managing just one long ball in his last 17 games heading into the All-Star break, so it was nice to see him start the second half with a bang. Despite missing several weeks at the start of the year while completing an 80-game PED suspension, Tatis has been a top-50 earner in rotisserie baseball to date this season. He remains a superstar in the fantasy game.

Josh Hader - Secures save No. 22 Hader picked up the save Friday against the Phillies. He struck out one over a perfect two-thirds of an inning.

Impact The Padres led 8-1 heading into the bottom of the ninth, but Luis Garcia made a mess of things and brought the tying run to the on-deck circle, creating the save chance for Hader. Hader struck out Trea Turner and got Nick Castellanos to fly out on a total of 10 pitches to end the game. After a shaky initial run with San Diego down the stretch last season, Hader has returned to dominant form in 2023, securing 22 saves in 25 chances to this point.

Impact The 36-year-old turned in a vintage performance in his first start of the second half, inducing 13 swinging strikes on 94 pitches. Darvish limped into the All-Star break with a 6.97 ERA over his last six starts, so this was a big step in the right direction. The peripherals are significantly better than the surface stats to this point, and with that, we should expect more positive regression for Darvish in the weeks and months ahead.
