Manny Machado - Salvages day with late homer Machado went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 6-1 victory over the Twins.
Impact Machado gave the Padres some extra insurance by swatting a three-run homer in the top of the ninth that plated Austin Nola and Jake Cronenworth to extend the lead to five runs. The 30-year-old was quiet outside of the three-run knock, striking out twice and hitting a single to right. Through 34 games, Machado is slashing .257/.306/.412 with five home runs and 17 RBI. After a slow start to the campaign, Machado has bounced back nicely, batting .368 with four home runs, 10 RBI and 10 runs scored in his last nine appearances.

Michael Wacha - Solid in third win Wacha (3-1) earned the win Tuesday, allowing one run on three hits and three walks over six innings in a 6-1 victory over the Twins. He struck out four.
Impact Wacha nabbed his second consecutive quality start Tuesday, holding the Twins to just one run on three hits. Though Wacha went through a rough patch in mid-April where he allowed 15 runs over three starts (13.1 innings), the veteran righty has bounced back with just one run allowed over his last two appearances (12.0 innings). Outside of his poor three-game stretch, Wacha has been quite effective in limiting damage, but considering he has struck out three or fewer batters in four of his seven starts, his fantasy upside should remain capped.

Impact Castillo landed on the injured list before the start of the regular season after battling left shoulder discomfort in the final few weeks of spring training. If all goes well from here, he could be an option for the Padres' bullpen sometime next week.
