Reiss Knehr - Optioned to El Paso Knehr was optioned to Triple-A El Paso by the Padres on Saturday, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Impact Knehr struggled to a 12.27 ERA over three appearances and 3.2 innings while with the club. The right-hander is optioned down to El Paso to make room for Joe Musgrove with Musgrove coming off the injured list to make his 2023 season debut.

Joe Musgrove - Taken off 15-day IL for start Musgrove (toe/shoulder) was reinstated off the 15-day injured list by the Padres on Saturday, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Impact Musgrove comes off the IL to make his first start of the 2023 campaign against the Diamondbacks on Saturday. The right-hander scuffled a bit in his two rehab starts, but he also fanned 14 hitters over 9.1 innings. Musgrove may have some webs to shake off early, but he should be a strong fantasy option for the remainder of the 2023 season.

Impact Lugo pitched effectively against Arizona, but the Padres couldn't provide any run support. The right-hander has commanded the strike zone well this season, as he's walked no more than one batter in three of his four starts.
