Craig Stammen - Transferred to 60-day IL Stammen (shoulder) was moved to the 60-day injured list Tuesday, per MLB.com.

Impact Stammen hasn't seen game action since early July, but he's recently been playing catch and throwing on flat ground. He stated last week that his shoulder is feeling better, so the move to the 60-day IL doesn't appear to be due to a setback. Rather, San Diego is likely intent on ensuring that Stammen isn't rushed back so that he's healthy and available down the stretch run.

Matt Beaty - Reinstated, optioned to Triple-A Beaty (shoulder) was reinstated from the 60-day IL on Tuesday and was subsequently optioned to Triple-A El Paso, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Impact Beaty restarted his rehab assignment July 27 and is slashing .309/.433/.418 with a home run and seven RBI in 15 games since. He's back to full health, but the Padres don't appear to have room for him on the big-league roster at the moment. Beaty has struggled during his time in the majors this season, batting .108 with no homers and only one RBI over 37 at-bats.

Impact Garcia entered in the seventh inning with the score tied 3-3. He allowed a leadoff single followed by a one-out double that plated a run. Garcia bounced back to retire the next two batters, but the damage was enough to send him to his sixth loss. Despite that outcome, Garcia has been one of San Diego's most reliable bullpen arms this season, racking up 19 holds, two saves and four victories over 45 appearances.

Impact As the table setter for the San Diego lineup, Profar hasn't noticed the burst in counting-stats production that many anticipated when the Friars acquired Juan Soto, Josh Bell and Brandon Drury ahead of the Aug. 2 trade deadline. Profar has started in each of the team's 15 games since the deadline, but has only eight runs and two RBI to show for it. Profar hasn't helped his cause by getting on base at a modest .304 clip during that stretch, but the Padres haven't shown any inclination to remove him from the top of the lineup.
