Wenceel Pérez - Promoted to Triple-APerez was promoted from Double-A Toledo to Triple-A Erie on Sunday, Emily Waldon of Baseball America reports.
ImpactPerez began the 2023 campaign on the injured list but returned to full health in early April and slashed .275/.357/.380 with six homers, 56 runs, 28 RBI and 19 stolen bases over 75 Double-A games. He'll now have an opportunity to showcase his talents at the Triple-A level.

Alex Faedo - Blanks San Diego in returnFaedo (2-4) earned the win Sunday, allowing one hit and four walks over six scoreless innings against San Diego. He struck out two.
ImpactIt was an impressive performance from Faedo, who allowed seven runs over just 3.2 innings in his last major-league outing against Toronto earlier this month. The 27-year-old right-hander struggled with command a bit Sunday, walking four, though he was able to keep the Padres off the board, allowing just one hit while inducing three double plays. Faedo has shown some promise this season, though he still sports a 5.80 ERA despite an impressive 1.04 WHIP and 30:8 K:BB. While he was called up to make a spot start Sunday, the Tigers could elect to give Faedo another look in the rotation following his strong outing.

Spencer Torkelson - Homers SundayTorkelson went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's victory over the Padres.
ImpactAfter going 0-for-10 in his previous three games, Torkelson opened the scoring in the first inning Sunday with a solo homer off Joe Musgrove, his 15th long ball of the year. The 23-year-old Torkelson has been productive of late, even with his recent cold spell -- he's gone 18-for-70 (.257) with an .835 OPS in 18 games since the start of July. Overall, the first baseman is slashing .230/.307/.414 with 53 RBI and 49 runs scored through 417 plate appearances in his sophomore campaign.
