The 27-year-old is set to rejoin the Tigers for their series in Minnesota next week for a re-evaluation, at which point he could be cleared to start running again if team doctors are satisfied with the progress he's made in his recovery from the Achilles' injuries. Since he's likely to require a rehab assignment before he's activated from the 10-day injured list, Meadows doesn't appear on track to play for the Tigers until at least the second week of August.

Joey Wentz - Resumes facing hittersWentz (shoulder) threw a live batting practice session Tuesday at the Tigers' spring training complex in Florida, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

ImpactWentz has been sidelined since May 31, when he suffered a shoulder injury while making a spot start for the Tigers. Since he was optioned to Triple-A Toledo following that outing, Wentz currently resides on the affiliate's 7-day injured list rather than the Tigers' 10-day IL. Now that he's facing hitters again, Wentz could soon be cleared to head out on a rehab assignment at one of the Tigers' lower-level affiliates before he rejoins the Triple-A rotation.

Jake Rogers - Takes live BPRogers (elbow) took live batting practice Tuesday against rehabbing lefty Joey Wentz (shoulder) at the Tigers' spring training complex in Florida, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

ImpactRogers remains on track to come off the 60-day injured list at some point before the season ends, but resuming full catching work will be the final test he needs to pass in his rehab from last September's Tommy John surgery before the Tigers activate him. Even if he's not ready to catch within the next couple of weeks, the Tigers could still send him out on a minor-league rehab assignment to pick up at-bats as a designated hitter.
