Drew Pomeranz - Rehab transferred to Triple-APomeranz (elbow) had his rehab assignment transferred to Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday, per MLB.com.
ImpactPomeranz has been taking part in game action for nearly two weeks, logging four appearances between the Arizona Complex League, Single-A Lake Elsinore and Triple-A El Paso. He's struggled a bit in those outings, giving up a total of four runs over 3.2 innings. However, he's also struck out six batters and hasn't suffered any setbacks. The Padres are hopeful that Pomeranz will be able to give their bullpen a significant boost down the stretch.

Craig Stammen - Transferred to 60-day ILStammen (shoulder) was moved to the 60-day injured list Tuesday, per MLB.com.
ImpactStammen hasn't seen game action since early July, but he's recently been playing catch and throwing on flat ground. He stated last week that his shoulder is feeling better, so the move to the 60-day IL doesn't appear to be due to a setback. Rather, San Diego is likely intent on ensuring that Stammen isn't rushed back so that he's healthy and available down the stretch run.

Matt Beaty - Reinstated, optioned to Triple-ABeaty (shoulder) was reinstated from the 60-day IL on Tuesday and was subsequently optioned to Triple-A El Paso, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
ImpactBeaty restarted his rehab assignment July 27 and is slashing .309/.433/.418 with a home run and seven RBI in 15 games since. He's back to full health, but the Padres don't appear to have room for him on the big-league roster at the moment. Beaty has struggled during his time in the majors this season, batting .108 with no homers and only one RBI over 37 at-bats.
