Alex Hall - Back at High-AHall was outrighted to High-A Wisconsin on Sunday.
ImpactHall was surprisingly called up from the High-A level on Thursday, but that may have just been a result of the Brewers wanting to bring up a catcher from the minors that was playing at an affiliate close in proximity to Milwaukee after Omar Narvaez (illness) was placed on the COVID-19-related injured list. Alex Jackson was able to arrive in Milwaukee from Triple-A Nashville on Friday, so Hall was ultimately moved off the 40-man roster without playing in a game for the big club. As expected, he wasn't claimed off waivers, so the 23-year-old will stay in the organization and head back to Wisconsin.

Nick Martinez - Tosses four innings in long reliefMartinez allowed two runs on four hits and no walks while striking out four batters over four-plus innings against Milwaukee on Sunday. He did not factor in the decision.
ImpactMike Clevinger started the game for the Padres, but he was held to three innings and 60 pitches as the team decided to limit his workload following a stint on the injured list. Martinez ended up throwing more pitches (70) than Clevinger, and he breezed through four scoreless frames before the Brewers broke through with two runs before he could retire a batter in the eighth. Clevinger figures to see his pitch count increase in his next start, but it's possible that Martinez could again be used to piggyback him if Clevinger is unable to take on a full workload.
