Out at least 12 weeksBush was diagnosed with a flexor tendon strain in his right arm Monday and will miss at least 12 weeks, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ImpactBush was seen as a potential candidate for saves in Texas this season as injuries struck several other pitchers in the Rangers' bullpen. The injury bug has now struck him as well, and he'll be out until early July at the earliest. He's expected to be re-examined in six weeks, at which point his timeline may become clearer. Ian Kennedy has recorded both of the Rangers' saves thus far this season.

Undergoes Tommy John surgeryHernandez underwent Tommy John surgery Monday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ImpactHernandez was seen as one of the favorites to close for the Rangers this season before spraining his UCL in early March. The issue hasn't progressed as the team hoped, so he'll now miss the entirety of this season as well as roughly half of the 2022 campaign. With several other injuries striking the Rangers' bullpen, veteran Ian Kennedy has picked up the team's two saves thus far.

Goes deep SundayMachado went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Sunday in a 2-0 win over Texas.
ImpactAfter getting ejected in the eighth inning of Saturday's contest, Machado was back in the lineup Sunday as the Padres' designated hitter. He provided an insurance run for closer Mark Melancon with a solo shot to left field in the top of the ninth inning. The blast was Machado's second of the campaign, and he now has five RBI.

Still working at alternate campLamet (elbow) won't return until he pitches at least once more at the Padres' alternate training site, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
ImpactLamet built up to 56 pitches during a game at the alternate training site Friday, but the team isn't rushing him back to the mound. Since the right-hander likely won't be ready to make his season debut at home against the Dodgers on Friday, the Padres will need someone else to fill in after Adrian Morejon (forearm) was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday. Craig Stammen, Nabil Crismatt or Ryan Weathers could be options to start Friday's matchup if Lamet is unavailable.

Recalled by San DiegoCrismatt was recalled by the Padres on Monday.
ImpactCrismatt was sent down by the Padres on Saturday after he allowed two hits and three walks while striking out four in three scoreless innings to begin the season. However, he'll return to the major-league roster after Adrian Morejon (forearm) was placed on the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. If Dinelson Lamet (elbow) is unable to return from the 10-day injured list later in the week, Crismatt could fill in as a starter for the Padres.
