Brandon Crawford - Could be activated this weekend Crawford (forearm) is expected to be with the Giants in San Diego this weekend and could come off the injured list then, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Impact Crawford did some hitting without issue Tuesday and will have another hitting session Wednesday. It sounds like he will be activated without going out on a rehab assignment first, and with rosters expanding Friday, he could rejoin the club without a corresponding move. Crawford has been out since mid-August with a left forearm strain.

Austin Slater - Back on bench against righty Slater is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Impact Slater started in each of the last four games while going 5-for-10 with a double, four walks, six runs and one RBI, but all of those starts came while the Giants opposed left-handed pitchers. He'll move back to the bench versus Reds right-hander Hunter Greene and should serve as a short-side platoon outfielder moving forward.

Mitch Haniger - Taking seat Wednesday Haniger is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Impact Haniger returned to action in left field Tuesday following a lengthy stay on the injured list with a fractured forearm, but he'll rest for Wednesday's matinee as he's eased back into action. Joc Peterson is handling left field Wednesday, Mike Yastrzemski is in right and Wilmer Flores will be the Giants' designated hitter.
